so what's this all about?

As many of you know, I've threatened to start a blog for sometime.  The first incarnation, Dinner for Deuce, lasted about a week.  While I still like the premise -- finding good meals in DC for around $20 -- the research and planning around it became too complicated and I never even made it to a resaurant review.

So here's Take Two, the Domesticated Urbanite (a big thank you to my lovely friend Rossana for the name!).  The loose theme is domestic projects while living in a city, with some of those city things thrown in.  Here's an initial idea of what to expect...

• Craft Projects, including the trials of a beginning quilter


• The Recipe Quest, a series of baking experiments to find my favorite recipe of all my favorites (e.g. apple pie or chocolate chip cookies)

And much more to come!  I'm always open to ideas.  Here's to an exciting new venture!
